King's Community

Objects In Motion: Why the Church is a Movement, Not a Meeting

Episode Summary

Since the very beginning of Christianity, Jesus has invited people to be a part of a community called the church. But today, we can mean very different things when we say “church.” To some, church is a building where certain events happen. Others think of church like a shopping center for the religious goods and services they want to take part in. It’s possible for some people to talk about church like a club, while others think of it as a cause. So, should we think of church as a meeting, a market, or a movement?
